Mendeleev are considered. On this basis, the differences and features of chemical bonding in metals, covalent and ionic crystals, complex compounds, electron-deficient compounds and other structures are considered. Various chemical and physical processes are considered: the formation of covalent, cluster and metallic structures, complex compounds and the acid-basic properties of compounds. A new presentation of the formation of metal bonding is offered, which allows to explain the reasons for changes in strength, thermal and other properties of metals without a cumbersome and difficult to understand mathematical apparatus.
