A Veteran’s Fate as an Example for Future Generations

A meaningful meeting with veterans of the Afghan War was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.

 

During the event, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Laila Koishygulova, Head of the Military Department Colonel (Ret.) Ruslan Nauryzbekov, Colonel (Ret.) Askar Shmanov, Head of the Department for Defense Affairs of the Atyrau Region under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Colonel Eldar Shingaliyev, and Chairman of the Atyrau Regional Branch of Afghan War Veterans Alisher Kulov expressed gratitude to the veterans and emphasized that their courage and life stories serve as an example for the younger generation.

 

An exhibition titled “Through the Fire of the Afghan Pass,” organized by the Gabdol Slanov Atyrau Regional Scientific Universal Library, was presented as part of the event. Historical documents, photographs, and archival materials provided participants with an authentic insight into the realities of the war years.

 

Students engaged in dialogue with the veterans, asking questions and discussing their experiences. Patriotic songs and traditional instrumental performances added a solemn atmosphere to the gathering.

 

On behalf of Chairman of the Board - Rector Salamat Idrissov, letters of appreciation were presented to the Afghan War veterans.
