Regional Stage of the Republican Olympiad Held

On January 6-7, 2026, Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University hosted the regional stage of the Republican Olympiad in general education subjects for students of Grades 9, 10, and 11. The event was organized in accordance with Letter No. 1675/15-11-04 dated December 22, 2025, issued by the Daryn Republican Scientific and Practical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and implemented by the Center for Identification and Support of Talents under the Atyrau Regional Department of Education.

The Olympiad covered both the natural sciences and mathematics track (including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and others) and the social sciences and humanities track (including Kazakh language in Kazakh- and Russian-medium classes, Russian language and literature, English, French, History of Kazakhstan, and other subjects).

As part of the event, staff members from the University’s Career Guidance and Marketing Departments conducted informational and outreach sessions for school administrators, subject teachers, and Grade 11 students. Participants received comprehensive information about the University’s academic programs, the list of available majors, study conditions, and admission requirements. Informational brochures presenting the University’s degree programs were also distributed.

Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University awards Rector’s Grants to the winners of the Olympiad in both the natural sciences and mathematics, as well as the social sciences and humanities tracks.
