Scientific Achievements and Development Plans Discussed at Atyrau University
A meeting chaired by Rector Salamat Idrissov was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University to review the results of scientific activities carried out during the 2024-2025 academic year and to discuss prospective development plans for the upcoming period. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Bakyt Altynbasov, Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations Kansulu Otepkaliyeva, as well as faculty deans.
During the meeting, faculty deans presented reports on the key outcomes of research activities implemented with the participation of university scholars. Across all faculties, the research activity of academic staff has increased, resulting in the publication of scientific articles, monographs, and teaching and methodological materials. The research outputs of university scholars have been published in international and national academic journals and widely presented at various conferences and forums.
In addition, the meeting discussed grant-funded and program-targeted research projects currently being implemented at the faculties. These projects aim to address pressing issues in science and education, as well as to promote the development of strategically important areas at the regional and national levels.
Special attention was paid to engaging university scholars in research activities, effectively utilizing their scientific potential, and enhancing research quality. It was noted that the university’s research capacity is being systematically strengthened through the development of scientific infrastructure, the activation of research laboratories, and the expansion of academic mobility and international scientific cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, prospective plans for the next stage were outlined, and specific tasks were set to increase the number of research projects, improve the quality of publications, and ensure the practical application and implementation of research outcomes in industry and practice.
