Adam - ne degen syrly, ne degen nurly tulga!
A meaningful literary evening dedicated to the birthday of Zeynolla Kabdolov, an outstanding representative of Kazakh literature and a writer who profoundly explored the essence of the written word, was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Fourth-year students of the Kazakh Language and Literature educational program presented their creative reflections during the literary gathering titled “If We Do Not Burn with Passion…”, expressing the vibrant voice of a new generation inspired by the writer’s legacy.
The students offered fresh interpretations of the characters Taiman, Kaben, Nadiya, and Nagima from Kabdolov’s novel Ushkyn, delivering insightful presentations on the following topics:
• The Theme and Idea of the Novel
• The Image of Youth in the Novel “Ushkyn”
• A Passionate Hero of the Flame
• The World of Oil Workers as the Core of the Novel
The writer’s heartfelt reflection, “The oil-rich Emba is the land where I was born and raised,” resonated strongly with the spirit of the Year of Working Professions, aligning with the perspectives and values of today’s youth. By connecting the novel’s content with contemporary realities, students shared their own viewpoints and engaged in thoughtful discussion.
At the conclusion of the evening, participants enthusiastically responded to interactive questions presented in a hidden-question format. As noted by I. Omarov, Zeynolla Kabdolov was a writer who “entered the doors of literature with great modesty and refined character.” His instructive and enduring works continue to illuminate the path for a new generation of readers - today’s youth.
