Meeting with Foreign Historian Scholars Held
A meeting titled “Meeting with Foreign Historian Scholars” was organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, Department of History of Kazakhstan and the World, with the participation of Bakhyt Omirkhanuly Altynbasov, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization of our university.
The main goals of the meeting were to develop international cooperation, expand academic partnerships (joint publications, research projects, academic mobility programs), and provide a platform for exchange of opinions and sharing of experience.
Saipulla Zhumabayuly Sapanov, Director of the Caspian Region Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology named after H.B. Tabyldiyev, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor, gave a detailed presentation on the institute’s current scientific initiatives and strategic directions, highlighting ongoing fundamental projects. He also introduced the foreign colleagues attending the event to strengthen international scientific ties.
Representatives from the following universities participated in the meeting:
• Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev;
• Researchers from the National University of Uzbekistan;
• Scientists from Perm State University;
• Professors from Karabuk University, Turkey;
• History faculty of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (online).
The online participants introduced themselves and expressed their readiness to collaborate on joint scientific publications, research projects, and further development of academic partnerships.
Vice-Rector B.O. Altynbasov expressed gratitude to the foreign historian scholars and the university’s faculty of history for their participation. He emphasized that international scientific collaboration is a key driving force in higher education and research.
He also instructed that, together with foreign colleagues, new scientific initiatives should be developed, interdisciplinary and internationally significant research projects launched, and joint publications in international scientific journals pursued. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of elevating academic partnerships to a long-term strategic level of cooperation.
