Atyrau Delegation Participates in International Seminar on Cultural Heritage

Several scholars from the Atyrau region are currently taking part in an international seminar held in Almaty, organized by the National Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The seminar features keynote speeches by Deputy Chairman of the National Committee Rustam Muzafarov, and authors of the 2003 UNESCO Paris Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Susan Augé and Blake Janet.

The significance of the event lies in its focus on preserving, promoting, and passing on cultural heritage to future generations through the lens of international experience.

From Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the Director of the H. Tabildiyev Institute for Historical, Archaeological and Ethnological Research of the Caspian Region, Doctor of Historical Sciences Saifulla Sapanov, actively participated in the seminar with a presentation titled “Atyrau – My Dream City.”

Additionally, Mira Dauletbayeva, Head of the Department for Cultural and Arts Institutions under the Atyrau Regional Department of Culture and Language Development, and Saya Gazimova, Deputy Director of the Atyrau Regional Museum of History and Local Lore, are also representing the region at the seminar.
