Creative Entrance Examinations Continue at Atyrau University

Creative entrance examinations are continuing at Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University as part of the 2026–2027 admissions campaign. Prospective students are undertaking the first stage of the admission process, demonstrating their creative abilities, professional competencies, and talents.

This year, creative entrance examinations are being held for 10 educational programmes, with 538 applicants taking part. Candidates are demonstrating their knowledge and abilities in the fields of sports, arts, journalism, design, music, and religious studies.

The application period for educational programmes requiring creative entrance examinations was held from 20 June to 7 July. From 8 to 11 July, applicants are completing two-stage creative examinations. Following the announcement of the examination results, from 13 to 20 July, successful applicants will be eligible to submit documents to participate in the competition for state educational grants.

According to the Admissions Committee, the greatest interest among applicants is in sports-related programmes. A total of 271 applications have been submitted for the Teacher Training in Physical Education educational programme, while 38 applicants are competing for admission to the Teacher Training in Initial Military Education programme.

Creative disciplines also continue to attract significant interest. The number of applicants is as follows:

  • Music Education – 9 applicants;
  • Concert and Chamber Performance, Teacher – 9 applicants;
  • Folk Instruments – 7 applicants;
  • Folk Singing – 3 applicants.

The Journalism and Reporting educational programme, which combines creative and media-oriented training, has attracted 84 applicants, reflecting the steadily growing interest in this field.

In addition, 54 applicants have applied for the Design (Specialisation), Artist-Designer in the Education System educational programme, 20 applicants for Art Education, and 22 applicants for Religious Studies.

The creative entrance examinations assess not only applicants' theoretical knowledge but also their professional skills, creative thinking, stage presence, physical fitness, and aptitude for their chosen profession.

Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University places special emphasis on ensuring that the entrance examinations are conducted objectively, transparently, and in full compliance with established regulations, while maintaining high standards in the selection of future professionals. The creative entrance examinations are currently proceeding according to the approved schedule. Results are published in stages, after which applicants become eligible to participate in the competition for state educational grants.
