A solemn graduation ceremony was held at Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University to award diplomas to the graduates of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The event was attended by the university administration, faculty members, graduates, and their parents. The diploma award ceremony marked an important milestone, symbolizing the results of several years of dedicated study, continuous learning, and the pursuit of knowledge, while opening a new chapter in the professional lives of the young graduates.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences is one of the university’s largest academic divisions with a rich history. Established 85 years ago, the faculty has educated thousands of specialists in the fields of natural sciences, teacher education, and agriculture. Today, its graduates make valuable contributions to industrial enterprises, educational institutions, and various organizations across Kazakhstan, as well as to research, educational, and industrial institutions abroad.
This year, the Faculty graduated students from the educational programs in Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geography, History, Tourism, and Fisheries. A total of 224 bachelor's degree graduates and 19 master's degree graduates successfully completed their studies. Among them, 20 graduates earned Diplomas with Honors in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
During the ceremony, Salamat Nurmukhanovich Idrissov, Chairman of the Management Board and Rector of Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, congratulated the graduates. He emphasized that their success was the result not only of their perseverance and hard work but also of the professionalism of the academic staff and the unwavering support of their parents.
"The professions you have chosen play a vital role in ensuring the sustainable development of society, protecting the environment, advancing the natural sciences, and strengthening the environmental security of our country. Today, students of the Faculty actively participate in the nationwide environmental campaign 'Taza Kazakhstan', making a meaningful contribution to nature conservation and the promotion of environmental awareness. In addition, our students regularly achieve outstanding results at national academic Olympiads, bringing recognition to our university across the country.
These accomplishments are the result of a strong desire for knowledge, determination, and the supportive academic environment fostered at our university. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our faculty members, whose dedication has played a key role in the professional development of our graduates, and to the parents, whose constant encouragement and support have been invaluable," the Rector noted.
In addition to receiving their diplomas, graduates who had actively contributed to university life and demonstrated outstanding achievements in the arts, sports, volunteer activities, regional and national debate tournaments, and startup projects were also recognized with awards.
Special letters of appreciation were presented on behalf of:
- Salamat N. Idrissov, Chairman of the Management Board and Rector of the University;
- the Akim (Mayor) of Atyrau;
- the Atyrau Region Department of Internal Policy;
- the Atyrau Region Department of Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
The festive evening concluded with the official diploma presentation ceremony and a celebratory concert program, making the occasion a memorable and inspiring celebration for the graduates as they embark on their professional careers.
