From May 11 to 18, 2026, representatives of the BR28713197 project, "Caspian Center for Sustainable Innovation: Academic and Scientific Advancement of Alternative Solutions for the Region's Transition to a Greener Future" (2025–2027), participated in the 13th International Conference and Exhibition "Gas Turbine Focus 2026 (GTF)", held in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.
The delegation included Project Leader G.K. Shambilova, Head of the "Caspian" Integrated Research and Monitoring Laboratory G.G. Zhumatova, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies Zh.K. Kadasheva, and First Work Package Leader A.S. Kalauova.
The main objective of the visit was to explore advanced scientific and technological innovations, exchange expertise with international researchers, establish new professional partnerships, and strengthen international scientific cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation toured Shanghai Jingxin Industrial Development Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of laboratory and scientific equipment. Participants became acquainted with modern technologies for sample preparation, analytical research, and laboratory quality control used in environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical research, and agriculture.
The project team also visited Pingdu City in Shandong Province, one of China's major agricultural centers, where they explored greenhouse complexes, seedling production facilities, and agricultural enterprises. The visit provided valuable insights into advanced cultivation technologies and modern greenhouse management practices.
As part of the GTF 2026 conference, the delegation attended plenary sessions, technical forums, and the international exhibition. Meetings with representatives of research institutions and industrial companies resulted in new professional contacts and opened additional opportunities for future international collaboration.
The knowledge, practical experience, and materials obtained during the visit will contribute to the successful implementation of the BR28713197 project and further strengthen its international scientific cooperation.
