Republican Methodological Seminar on Heroism and Patriotism Held

A republican methodological seminar titled “The Enduring Heroism and Outstanding Contribution of Kazakhstan’s Victory Soldiers during World War II” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.

 

The seminar was moderated by Chairman of the Board - Rector Idrissov Salamat Nurmukhanuly and Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor Sabirov Aidar Sabyruly.

 

The event brought together representatives of higher education institutions from across the country, faculty members, and students, who exchanged views on historical experience during wartime, the spirit of heroism and patriotism, and the connection between sports and military training.

 

During the opening session, welcoming remarks were delivered by distinguished guests, including Nurlan Kuatbekov, President of the People’s Friendship University named after Academician Abdimusa Kuatbekov (Shymkent), Akynkozha Zhanibekov, Vice-Rector of Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Amanay Myrzabayev, Professor of Karaganda National Research University, and Zhumageldi Kapez Beisenuly, an honored veteran of the Central Office of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

The presentation session covered a wide range of topics, including the activities of the Guryev State Teachers Institute during the war years, historical and educational reports under the theme “A Hero’s Name Lives in the Nation’s Memory,” the role of athletes during wartime, the heroism of Kazhymukan Munaitpasov, socio-cultural analyses of sports and war, the importance of martial arts in combat training, and the heroic paths of regional figures. Both faculty members and students actively participated as speakers.

 

At the end of the seminar, a discussion session, Q&A, and exchange of proposals took place. Participants emphasized the importance of such events in preserving historical memory and educating the younger generation.
