The Second Stage of the IQanat National Olympiad Was Held
The second stage of the IQanat National Olympiad among rural school students was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. This year, over 56,000 school students across the country registered to take part in the intellectual competition. In the Atyrau region, 346 students who successfully passed the district stage out of 1,850 participants competed in the second round.
The IQanat Olympiad is a project that opens new opportunities for talented students from rural schools. Currently, 94% of the program’s alumni are studying at top universities in 17 countries around the world.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Board – Rector Salamat Idrissov noted:
“I wish all participants the best of luck in the Olympiad! Atyrau University is committed to supporting rural students. Many participants of previous Olympiads are now studying at our university and contributing to the development of society. This year, our university is supporting the Olympiad by awarding ten grants to its winners. In the future, these students will be able to study at Atyrau University free of charge.”
In the second stage of the Olympiad, participants are tested on logical reasoning, mathematical and reading literacy, history of Kazakhstan, geography, mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry.
One thousand finalists will receive valuable prizes: some will be awarded scholarships to study at the IQanat Boarding School in Burabay, while the top-performing students will be eligible to join a three-year support program that includes preparation for national and international exams, IT training, and soft skills development.
This Olympiad is not just a knowledge competition — it is a significant step toward self-development and new opportunities. We wish all participants determination, sharp thinking, and outstanding results!
