Guest Lecture by the Department of Ecology on Public Service and Civic Responsibility

On February 13, 2025, representatives of the Department of Ecology of Atyrau Region delivered a guest lecture for 1st–4th year students of the educational programs 6B05201 – “Applied Ecology,” 6B05202 – “Ecoanalytics,” and 6B05203 – “Waste Management” at Atyrau University named after Kh. Dosmukhamedov. The main purpose of the meeting was to attract young people to public service, foster an active civic position, and develop a patriotic perspective on the role and responsibilities of civil servants in accordance with K. Ashimov’s concept of the “Honest Citizen.” During the lecture, specialists outlined the structure of environmental authorities, key directions of state environmental policy, and regulatory mechanisms in the field of environmental protection. Special attention was given to professional ethics, accountability to society, and the principles of transparency and integrity in public service. Students were informed about the procedures for entering civil service, qualification requirements, and career development opportunities. The event concluded with an open discussion session, allowing students to ask questions and engage directly with the representatives.
