Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger by training specialists in agriculture, ecology, and bioresources. The university develops academic programs and research initiatives aimed at sustainable agricultural development, rational use of natural resources, and strengthening regional food security. Special attention is given to sustainable farming practices, biodiversity conservation, and the introduction of innovative technologies in the agro-industrial sector. Through education, research, and cooperation with industry partners, the university supports improved productivity and long-term food sustainability.
  • “ASU UMIT” Charity Organization Distributed Food to Families
    Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University held an event aimed at supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger). The university’s charitable organization “ASU UMIT” organized a food distribution campaign for socially vulnerable families. The initiative aimed to support large families, elderly people, and individuals facing difficult life situations by providing essential food packages. This activity contributes to the achievement of SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, by promoting food support and strengthening social solidarity within the community.
  • Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University conducts research projects contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger).
    In 2026, the Department of Economics is implementing a research project titled “Technology for the Production of Environmentally Friendly Mutton and Lamb in the Desert Zone of Atyrau Region.” The project is supported within the framework of research and experimental development programs funded by the Atyrau regional budget. The main objective of the research is to study, systematize, and develop effective technological approaches for producing environmentally friendly mutton and lamb in the desert conditions of the region. The project aims to support regional agricultural development, promote environmentally friendly food production, and contribute to food security.
