Atyrau University has an infrastructure adapted for persons with disabilities, ensuring barrier-free access to quality education. The University supports students with disabilities in their pursuit of self-realization, entrepreneurial development, and full integration into society. The University provides equal access to education for citizens of all countries recognized by the United Nations. In line with the principles of fairness and equality, a unified tuition fee policy is established for international students. As part of the implementation of SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), a range of initiatives has been carried out to expand the inclusive environment, strengthen student self-governance, prevent social tensions, and promote active civic engagement. The University has created favorable conditions for students with special educational needs. An accessible learning environment is ensured through adapted study materials, assistive technologies, and individualized support services. The Office of Inclusive Education and Psychological Support provides comprehensive psychological and pedagogical assistance and fosters a tolerant and inclusive culture within the student
  • Internal University Project “The Economic Impact of the Labor Market Integration of Persons with Disabilities” (2025)
    In 2025, within the framework of internal university projects, the Department of Economics developed and implemented a project titled “The Economic Impact of the Labor Market Integration of Persons with Disabilities” (Project Leader: PhD Mugaïna R. O.). The main objective of the project is to study the social and economic consequences of integrating persons with disabilities into the labor market, to unlock their professional potential, and to ensure equal opportunity principles in employment. The project results are aimed at improving the efficient use of labor resources at regional and national levels, enhancing social inclusion, and implementing measures to support social stability. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Program direction “Social Stability and Reduction of Inequalities.”
