Nauryz is a great celebration symbolizing renewal, revival, prosperity, and abundance. It marks the time when nature awakens and life begins anew. Passed down through generations, this holiday represents unity, harmony, kindness, and compassion.
This year, Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University celebrated Nauryz in a unique format by combining national traditions with modern trends.
A festive event was held in a traditional six-wing yurt set up at Isatay-Makhambet Square in the city center, where national values were promoted and enriched with modern digital content.
The event inside the yurt was organized by the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies. Guests were introduced to traditional rituals such as bata (blessing) and tusau kesu (child’s first steps ceremony). In addition, within the framework of Digital Nauryz 2026, students presented various projects developed using artificial intelligence.
Intellectual games organized via the Kahoot platform and other digital technologies were held near the yurt, and active participants received special prizes.
Guests were also treated to traditional Nauryz kozhe prepared from seven ingredients by the faculty’s teaching staff, highlighting the cultural significance of the dish.
