Roundtable Discussion on the Draft Constitution Held at Atyrau University

A roundtable titled “The New Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan: The Role of the Rule of Law and Civil Society” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.

 

The event brought together members of the scientific expert group, university faculty, young professionals, and Shynargul Temirbayeva, Chief Expert of the “Public Accord” Institution under the Internal Policy Department of the Atyrau Region.

 

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Board - Rector Salamat Idrissov emphasized the importance of the new Constitution in building a human-centered state.

 

Professor Gulfairuz Kairgalikyzy highlighted the historical significance of the new Constitution and its role in strengthening civil society.

 

Elmira Adiyetova, Director of the Science Department and Candidate of Economic Sciences, presented a report on the strategic role of science and the university’s mission within the framework of the draft Constitution. Nurgul Lukmanova, Leading Specialist of the Mediation Consulting Center, addressed issues related to the development of the mediation institute and the strengthening of public accord and mutual respect. Aidana Bakytova, Director of the Institute of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan at Atyrau University, spoke about the fundamental principles of the rule-of-law state.

 

The roundtable concluded with a comprehensive discussion and proposals aimed at enhancing legal culture and developing civil society.
