A scientific and practical seminar dedicated to the opportunities for technology commercialization in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the H. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The event was initiated by the University’s Board of Directors and organized as part of the development of the region’s scientific and innovation ecosystem.
The keynote speaker was Aryn Amangeldievich Orsariyev, Doctor of Political Sciences and an international expert in innovation and technology transfer.
The seminar brought together university management, faculty members, young scientists, researchers, and representatives of industry.
The following key topics were discussed during the seminar:
- modern mechanisms for the commercialization of scientific research and developments;
- support instruments for scientists and universities;
- challenges and prospects for the development of innovation infrastructure;
- international experience in bringing technologies to market.
Participants discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between science and business, as well as the development of new projects aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of research outcomes.
As part of the seminar, Aryn Orsariyev presented his book “Why Grow Unicorns?”, dedicated to technology entrepreneurship.
The book features 276 real-life case studies demonstrating how scientists and entrepreneurs transform research into successful businesses.
The event concluded with an open discussion, providing participants with new ideas, inspiration, and practical tools for further innovation development.
