Roundtable on “Protected Natural Areas: A Guarantee for Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development” Held at Atyrau University
Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, held a roundtable discussion titled “Protected Natural Areas: A Guarantee for Environmental Conservation and Sustainable Development” within the framework of the “Law and Order” initiative.
The event took place at the University Scientific Council Hall with active participation from faculty members and students.
Representatives from the “Akzhaiyk” State Nature Reserve shared current issues and practical recommendations in the field of environmental protection:
- Nazerke Makhmetova, Head of the Science and Monitoring Department, delivered a detailed presentation on biodiversity conservation efforts in protected natural areas.
- Meiramgul Mayeva, Specialist in Environmental Education and Tourism, shared engaging information about the work and significance of the “Akzhaiyk” State Nature Reserve.
- Gulmarzhan Beimbetova, Security Engineer, highlighted important measures for addressing issues in forest management, protection, and prevention.
During the roundtable, students actively participated, asked meaningful questions, and expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the guests. They also suggested organizing similar informative events more frequently in the future.
The roundtable was conducted at a high level and became an important platform for fostering environmental awareness and ecological culture among students.
