International Lecture: A New Perspective on European History

At the Faculty of Humanities of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Professor Domininkas Burba, Doctor of Historical Sciences from Vytautas Magnus University, delivered a special lecture.

The lecture provided an in-depth analysis of the main stages and trends in European history, focusing on the political, social, and cultural development of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 18th-19th centuries.

In his presentation, Professor Burba emphasized that the destinies of Lithuania and European countries should be studied in close connection, noting the particular importance of these processes in contemporary historical scholarship. He also introduced students to new sources, methods of comparative analysis, and modern historiographical approaches.

During the lecture, students and young researchers asked questions and exchanged views with the professor, which further stimulated their academic interest and inspired new directions in their professional development.
