21st Century Digital Triggers

As part of the national principle “Law and Order,” the Department of Economic Investigations for the Atyrau Region under the Agency for Financial Monitoring of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a forum titled “21st Century Digital Triggers.”

The main goal of the forum was to enhance financial literacy and ensure financial security within society.

Participants included professionals from the fields of education, healthcare, and various budget-funded organizations-sectors whose employees, according to recent statistics, most frequently fall victim to financial pyramid schemes.

At the forum, Dr. Zita Kenzhegaliyeva, PhD, Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, delivered a keynote presentation titled:
“Financial Pyramids: A Path to Wealth or Ruin?”

Forum attendees received comprehensive information on how to identify financial pyramid schemes, their key characteristics, types, operational mechanisms, and the potential consequences of their activity.
