The research and practice seminars delivered by UK scholars Mark Berry and Carl Berry as part of the academic mobility programme have concluded at the Faculty of Economics and Law of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
Over the course of the two-week programme, faculty members and students gained insight into the British scholars’ international research and academic experience and acquired valuable knowledge.
📚 As part of the programme, the professors conducted a series of masterclasses covering the following topics:
🔹 current research trends in criminology and relevant international practices;
🔹 methods for planning and conducting academic research;
🔹 effective approaches to structuring a research article;
🔹 preparation and submission of articles to international peer-reviewed journals;
🔹 practical recommendations on responding to reviewers’ comments, revising manuscripts and preparing them for publication;
🔹 opportunities to publish research articles in journals indexed in the Scopus database;
🔹 development of international research projects and opportunities for conducting joint studies.
Upon completion of the programme, certificates were presented to faculty members and 25 students in recognition of their successful participation.
The academic mobility programme enabled participants to strengthen their research skills, improve their readiness to publish in international journals and establish new academic connections with international colleagues.
