Atyrau University Student Advances to Final Round of National Financial Security Olympiad

The 2025 National Olympiad on Financial Security, organized by the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the AML Academy of Financial Monitoring, is currently underway. Students from the Faculty of Economics and Law at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, including 2nd–3rd year undergraduates and 1st-year master’s students, actively participated and showed excellent results.

Participants represented the following educational programs:

• 6B04101 – Finance and Analytics

• 6B04104 – Accounting, Auditing and Business Process Analysis

• 6B04201 – Law

• 6B04103 – Economics and Public Administration

• 6B04102 – Management

• 6B04105 – Marketing

The National Olympiad consists of three stages:

1. Online testing

2. Essay writing at the regional offices of the Agency to select 40 finalists

3. Final stage in Astana in a phygital sports and intellectual game format

Following the results of the second stage, Daniyar Zhumash, a 3rd-year student of the Economics and Public Administration program, achieved a top score and qualified for the final round in Astana.

Other participants who received special recognition for high performance:

• Angelina Yashkova – student of the Accounting, Auditing and Business Process Analysis program

• Assem Samat – student of the Law program

They were awarded cash prizes for their achievements.

Winners of the final round, to be held from September 30 to October 4, 2025, will earn the opportunity to participate in the final stage of the International Financial Security Olympiad, which will take place in Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation, in Russian.
