Winners of the National Olympiad in Music Teaching Methodology Announced!
The XVII National Student Subject Olympiad in “Methods of Teaching Music”, organized by the Department of Music and Arts at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University as part of the “Training of Music Teachers” educational program, has successfully concluded.
The two-day academic competition brought together 3rd- and 4th-year students from universities across the country. Participants demonstrated their professional competencies, pedagogical skills, and musical knowledge.
The Olympiad consisted of two rounds:
• Round 1: A practical task on teaching methodology in music.
• Round 2: Theoretical questions testing academic knowledge.
Throughout the competition, students showcased their abilities in musical performance, vocal clarity, and effective use of digital tools in lesson planning. Evaluation criteria also included interdisciplinary integration, creativity, and speech culture.
Based on the total scores from both rounds, the jury awarded top-performing students and presented them with certificates of recognition and special nominations:

• 2nd Place: Dilnaz Azenova (M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University), Nazken Nabiyeva (Kazakh National Women’s University)
• 3rd Place: Asylbek Kubaidullayev (K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University), Arzygul Adilzhanova (Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University), Mariyam Azim ( M. Kh. Dulati Taraz University)

The closing ceremony featured uplifting performances by the vocal ensemble and student choir of the Department of Music and Arts, creating a festive and memorable atmosphere for all participants.
