Kanseit Abdezuly noted:
“We are meeting here at Atyrau University, with the support of the regional administration, during this flourishing spring season. Named after national figure Khalel Dosmukhamedov, this 85-year-old university is one of the top ten institutions in Kazakhstan. Esteemed educator Zeinolla Kabdolov once taught here, producing many candidates and doctors of science. We hope to further strengthen the relationship between the university and the Writers’ Union.”
On behalf of the Writers’ Union, a silver badge and golden pen dedicated to the Union’s 90th anniversary were presented to the university’s museum. Additionally, a book published in honor of Abdizhamil Nurpeisov’s 100th anniversary was donated to the university library.
The discussion touched on creative development, literary criticism, cultural modernization, and the depiction of labor in literature.
Aliya Bopezhanova remarked:
“To reflect the modern working person in literature, we must create contemporary heroes. In today’s social media-driven world, the idea of easy success is heavily promoted, but true achievement requires deep knowledge and hard work. We must portray inspiring characters from the oil industry, agriculture, finance, and other fields who resonate with today’s youth.”
The event featured performances of traditional kuis by Shamil Abiltayev and poetry readings by noted poets including Iranbek Orazbayev, Shakhizada Abdikarimov, Almas Akhmetbek, and Amangazy Karipzhan. At the close of the meeting, Atyrau University presented commemorative gifts to the guests.
The next day, the writers and cultural figures participated in the Writers’ Union’s visiting plenary session held in Atyrau.
