Opening Ceremony of the National Subject Olympiad in the Methodology of Teaching Music

Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University hosted the opening ceremony of the XVII National Student Subject Olympiad in the “Methodology of Teaching Music” within the “Music Teacher Training” academic program.

In his opening speech, Rector Salamat Idrissov stated:

“Hosting the XVII National Student Olympiad in the Methodology of Teaching Music at Atyrau University is a great responsibility and a matter of pride. We sincerely thank all the teams from different regions of our country for participating. Artistic disciplines hold a special place in the hearts of our people, as it is through Kazakh art that we understand our identity. The students who pursue these fields are truly talented and will go on to nurture future generations of artists. We wish all these creative young participants success in the Olympiad!”

Participating universities include M. Kh. Dulati Taraz University, O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, Zh. Tashenov University, Y. Altynsarin Arkalyk Pedagogical University, M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, M. Otemisov West Kazakhstan University, and others.

The panel of judges includes:

• Tamara Suingarina (Chairperson) – Associate Professor at Atyrau University, honored teacher

• Laura Kakimova – Professor at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, PhD in Pedagogy

• Mukhadas Gabdiyev – Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor at Atyrau University

• Bakyt Turmagambetova – Lecturer at Atyrau University, PhD in Art Studies

The order of performances in the first round was determined through a traditional asyk draw. After the draw, each team received their asyk as a keepsake. The first round of the Olympiad commenced following the ceremony.
