Military Parade in Astana Marks the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory
A grand military parade was held at the “Kazakh Eli” Square in Astana to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The parade honored the heroism of war veterans and showcased the strength of the modern Armed Forces of Independent Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the nation, stating:
“Defending the country is a noble duty and a great responsibility. It is a sacred obligation for every citizen. Alongside you, all citizens are building a Just, Strong, Safe, and Clean Kazakhstan. May our historic work be successful! May our spirit remain strong and our statehood eternal! Let our Blue Flag fly high! Dear fellow citizens, congratulations on the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory!”
A special group of veterans attended the military parade. On this significant day, their bravery and service were recognized with great respect.
Among the delegation from Atyrau Region was Professor Shakhman Nagimov, Chairman of the Veterans Council at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.
“Dear colleagues! I am attending the parade in Astana along with 16 veterans from Atyrau. There is a large crowd gathered to witness the event, and the atmosphere is joyful. No matter where we are in the country, our hearts all beat for the homeland. Sending heartfelt greetings to the Atyrau University community from the capital!” – shared Professor Nagimov.
More than 4,000 military personnel from all branches of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan participated in the parade. The event also featured over 200 military vehicles and weapons, along with 66 aircraft and helicopters.
