Opening New Opportunities for Training Future Researchers and History Educators – Our Key Priority

The Head of the Postgraduate Education Department at Khalel Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, Candidate of Economic Sciences Elmira Adiyetova, and Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and World History, Dana Alipova, visited Astana from April 21–25, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen scientific cooperation with the Scientific Institute for the Study of the Joshy Ulys under the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and to establish agreements for scientific internships and research within doctoral and master’s degree programs.
During the visit, the university scholars participated in an expert discussion titled “Historical Research in Kazakhstan: Reflections, Focus Areas, and Development Vectors (Based on the Outcomes of the 4th Session of the National Kurultai),” organized by the Institute of State History and the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, Atyrau University admitted its first doctoral students into the educational programs 8D02201 – Historian-Researcher (Scientific and Practical Track) and 8D02202 – Historian-Researcher (Professional Track). These doctoral programs play a vital role in the country’s spiritual and cultural development, the growth of scientific potential, and the preservation of national identity.
To support the doctoral students’ research activities, the university has signed cooperation agreements with the Presidential Library, the National Center for Manuscripts and Rare Books, and the International Turkic Academy.
