The Head of the Department, Aigul Aitmukhanovna Sultanгубиева, gave a presentation at the Atyrau University Science Cafe meeting on the topic "Building Global Scientific Networks: My Internship Experience in the United States." She spoke about her one-year scientific internship, which she completed from January to December 2025 at the University of Minnesota, located in Minneapolis, Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA, within the framework of the "500 Scientists" project of the "Bolashak" International Scholarship program of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Before starting the presentation, she began by asking a motivational question to the attending faculty members and distributed gifts with the University of Minnesota logo to those who actively answered the question.
Aigul Aitmukhanovna shared the thoughts, knowledge, and research she had gained and conducted during her one-year internship at the University of Minnesota. She also highlighted the opportunities available at the University of Minnesota and their specific features, and conveyed her suggestions that could be implemented at Atyrau University. The presentation was very engaging, and the attendees expressed their gratitude to Aigul Aitmukhanovna.








On February 20, at the scientific meeting of Science Cafe organized by Atyrau University, the Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, PhD Doctor Aigerim Rakhymgalievna Bayanbayeva, conducted a scientific seminar on the topic "Conducting Empirical Research in Social Sciences and Humanities and Publishing Articles in Journals Indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science Databases."
Aigerim Rakhymgalievna is a graduate of the "Bolashak" program and completed her doctorate at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. She has published articles in high-impact factor journals of the first quartile (Q1) indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases and serves as a regular reviewer for these journals.
During the seminar, the essence and stages of empirical research, the requirements of journals in the Scopus and Web of Science databases for article structure, the specifics of publishing in paid and unpaid journals, as well as the requirements of Western academic writing, were discussed in detail. The seminar was a useful event aimed at developing a culture of conducting high-quality scientific research and publishing at the international level among the university's faculty.







On February 26, 2026, at 3:30 PM, organized by the Science Department of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, a scientific meeting of the Science Cafe was held. During the meeting, a session was conducted on the progress of the research work titled "Integration of Persons with Disabilities into the Labor Market and the Higher Education Process" by the Associate Professor of the Economics Department, PhD Raikhan Ulzhalikovna Mugauina, and Master, Senior Lecturer Meiramgul Dingazieva Duzelbaeva.
This topic is being researched in two structural directions:
1st. Within the regional framework, the direction "Integration of Persons with Disabilities into the Labor Market and the Higher Education Process" in Atyrau region was presented by Associate Professor, PhD R.U. Mugauina, showcasing her research work.
2nd. The second direction, "Integration of Persons with Disabilities into the Labor Market and the Higher Education Process" within the education system, specifically using the example of Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, was reported by Master, Senior Lecturer Meiramgul Duzelbaevna Dingazieva.
It was stated that currently, a comprehensive study of the integration of persons with disabilities into the higher education process and the labor market is an urgent issue from both a theoretical and practical perspective. It was mentioned that analyzing the interrelation of inclusive education and employment policy contributes to the effective use of their socio-economic potential, enhances the quality of human capital, and promotes the sustainable development of society.
The research work systematically examines the mechanisms of education and labor force participation for persons with disabilities, serving as a basis for identifying institutional barriers and improving inclusive policy.







On March 11, 2026, at the regular meeting of the "Sciene Cafe" at the Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, the Head of the International Partnership and Internationalization Office, Dauletova Gulzira Abayovna, held an event for teachers and students on the topic "Academic Mobility and Culture of Academic Integrity in the Context of Global Educational Integration."
During the event, participants discussed current trends in the development of higher education, the internationalization of knowledge, and the importance of academic mobility programs for the professional growth of students and faculty members. Special attention was given to the role of academic mobility in enhancing professional competencies, developing research skills, and facilitating adaptation to the international academic environment.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of the principles of academic integrity. It was noted that academic integrity is a fundamental component of educational and research activities, based on values such as honesty, responsibility, fairness, and mutual respect. Adherence to these principles contributes to improving the quality of education and strengthening the academic reputation of the university.
In addition, participants discussed the modern challenges faced by academic integrity in the era of digitalization, as well as possible ways to address them. Particular emphasis was placed on fostering a conscious and responsible attitude among students and young researchers toward research ethics and academic responsibility.
In conclusion, it was highlighted that academic mobility and academic integrity are key factors for successful integration into the global educational space. The university community will continue its systematic efforts to enhance the quality of education, strengthen academic culture, and expand international cooperation.
