Association of Asian Universities

The Association of Asian Universities brings together leading higher education institutions of the region based on the principles of trust, mutual respect, and academic partnership. The organization was established following the international student forum “Altai – Asia 2012” and has since consistently promoted integration processes in the higher education systems of Asian countries.

The Association’s activities are aimed at forming a unified Asian educational space, improving the quality of specialist training, introducing advanced educational practices, and implementing joint research and academic projects. Special attention is given to the development of academic mobility, exchange of experience, and strengthening inter-university cooperation.

In the near future, the XII International Forum on Teacher Education IFTE-2026 “Teacher Training and Artificial Intelligence: University Cases” will be held on May 27–28, 2026. The forum will serve as a platform for discussing актуal issues of teacher training in the context of digital transformation and the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process.

Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov annually takes an active part in the Association’s events, contributing to the development of academic dialogue and the expansion of international cooperation.
