Official Visit of the Dutch Ambassador: Expanding Academic Cooperation with Atyrau University

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Nico Schermers, paid an official visit to Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University. The meeting was attended by Daryn Amanzhan, Public and Academic Diplomacy Officer, the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands Talgat Imangaliev, the university leadership, and the International Cooperation Office. The parties emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands in the fields of education and science. Chairman of the Board – Rector Salamat Idrissov highlighted the mutual interest of universities from both countries in developing educational and scientific exchange. It was noted that strengthening academic partnership opens new opportunities for students and faculty — including mobility programs, experience sharing, and access to international best practices. In addition, the parties discussed joint scientific projects, attracting foreign professors, and developing educational programs aligned with international standards. The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further strengthening international cooperation.
