The Department of Physics and Technical Disciplines, in accordance with the updated educational program, trains specialists in the following fields:

Bachelor’s Degree Programs:

         3.      6B01509 – Teacher of Physics and Informatics

         4.      6B05302 – Physicist-Researcher

         5.      6B07501 – Standardization, Metrology and Certification

Master’s Degree Programs:

         1.      7M01504 – Physics in Education

         2.      7M05303 – Physics and Electronics

 

The title “Best University Teacher” was awarded to Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Abykanova B.T. (2016), Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Kuanbayeva B.U. (2019), and senior lecturers with a master’s degree Rakhmetova M.T. and Bekova G.T. (2019).

 

Every year, students of the educational programs “Teacher of Physics,” “Teacher of Physics and Informatics,” “Physicist-Researcher,” “Standardization and Certification,” as well as master’s programs 7M01504 – Physics in Education and 7M05303 – Physics and Electronics, actively participate in republican research competitions and subject Olympiads, winning prize places.

For example, in the international research competition “Best Scientific Work – 2022,” 4th-year students of the specialties 5B011000 – Physics and 5B012800 – Physics-Informatics, Rakhymetollayeva Aidana and Amankusova Lyazzat (scientific supervisor: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Professor Abykanova B.T.), won 1st place. First-year master’s students Baygaliyeva A. and Yermakhan Z. (scientific supervisor: Abykanova B.T.) took 2nd place.

In the 2022–2023 academic year, according to the results of the second stage of the Republican Research Competition, 2nd-year student of 6B01509 – Physics and Informatics, Demeuova Zlikha (scientific supervisor: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Syrbayeva Sh.Zh.), won 3rd place. Third-year students Aitimova A. and Baktygaliyeva A. received letters of appreciation, while first-year master’s student Valeriyeva Zh.E. took 2nd place.

Second-year master’s students Baygaliyeva A. and Yermakhan Z. were awarded a first-degree diploma in the III International Research Competition “Best Research Work 2022” (Petrozavodsk, Russia) for their study on motivating factors in teachers’ professional development in distance education conditions.

First-year master’s student Valeriyeva Zh. received 2nd place in the same competition (Kazan, Russia) for research on student motivation in distance learning, while Baygaliyeva A. won 1st place for research on inclusive education in teaching physics.

Systematic work is carried out to prepare students for Republican subject Olympiads. In April 2022, at the XIV Republican Olympiad, the team took 2nd place. Team members included Toyzhigit Nurzhas, Baktygaliyeva Ademi, and Bekbolatova Guldana. Individually, Toyzhigit Nurzhas won 3rd place.

In April 2023, at the XV Republican Olympiad held at Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov, the university team won 2nd place.

In the 2024–2025 academic year, master’s students of “Physics in Education” program won 2nd and 3rd degree diplomas in the Republican Research Competition.

In April 2025, at the XVII Republican Olympiad held at Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov, students of “Physicist-Researcher” program took 3rd place. Other students also achieved prize places in individual competitions at various universities.

Students also participated in national research competitions, winning prize places at Zhetysu University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
