                                                            Department of Ecology

The history of the Department of Ecology begins in 2005. In general, in the history of the university in September 2001, at the Department of Zoology, Biology and Ecology, the specialty Ecology and Nature Management was opened. Since 2004, the first admission was held in the specialty 0506080-Ecology (undergraduate). In 2005, the Department of Ecology and the Environment was opened, and M. Esenamanova was appointed head of the department. In 2008, 98 students completed this specialty in the first year of study. In 2013, the specialties "Biology and Agriculture" were added, called "Ecology and Agricultural Disciplines." In 2015, she merged with the Department of Chemistry and from 2015 to 2017 became the Department of Chemistry and Ecology. In September 2017, the Department of Ecology was separated and is currently an independent department of ecology. Head of the Department, Professor, Ph.D. Tlepbergenova Anar Ersainovna.

The Ecology (undergraduate) curricula are taught to students in the specialties 6B05201-Applied Ecology, 6B05202-Ecoanalytics and 6B05204-Waste Management. Prepares specialty 7M05201-Applied Ecology according to the educational programs "Ecology" (master's degree).

For students of environmental specialties under the program "Multilingualism" classes are held in advanced English, Kazakh languages   and professional subjects in English.

The research work of students is organized by the department of the faculty of the department in the section "Ekos," where students conduct research on term papers and theses. "StartUp" are startup competitions between young employees and university students, where our students win money.

The results of academic and scientific work can be seen in the achievements of students. During this time, students took part in Republican and international Olympiads and took many prizes.

From March 25 to March 29, 2015 in Almaty at the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, students of the specialty of ecology of the VII Republican subject Olympiad in ecology took part in the Olympiad with the command group "Мунайлы өлкесі" and were awarded a diploma of the II degree in the scientific project "Ecological approach to the transition to a green economy."

Graduates of the environmental specialty work in various fields: the Department of Ecology in the Atyrau Region, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region, Tengizchevroil LLP, North Caspian Operating Company N.V.. (NKOK), Atyrau oil refinery, Teploelektrotsentral, Kazhydromettsentr, natural reserve "Akzhayyk," regional and city hydroelectric power stations (sanitary and epidemiological stations), Department of Emergency Situations, Makat Tazalyk LLP, KazMunayGaz JSC, Shindau LLP, West dala Integrated Waste Management Service Company LLP, Modern College of the Caspian Region, Atyrau Agrarian Technical College, Atyrau Business and Law College, Marine Fishing College, regional and city secondary schools, etc.

Since 2019, training under the educational program 6M060800-Ecology (scientific and pedagogical direction) has been carried out under two diploma programs together with the Astrakhan State Technical University.

7M05201-Undergraduates who graduated from applied ecology specialties, such transnational oil companies as AGIP, Tengizchevroil, Kazmunaigas and Embamunaigas, public and private environmental organizations Department of Natural Resources, Department of Ecology, Kazhydromet, "Economy," "Analytical Laboratory," in foreign educational institutions.

In the specialties 6B05201-Applied Ecology, 6B05202-Ecoanalytica, 6B05204-Waste Management (undergraduate) and 7M05201-- Applied Ecology (magistracy), contracts were concluded with the following institutions: Department of Ecology in Atyrau Region, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Atyrau Region institution, Kazhydromet LLP, "LLP" Economative, "State Natural Reserve" Akzhayyk, "LLP" Republican Research Center for Atmospheric Air Protection, "Analytical Laboratory for Environmental Protection.

According to the educational programs of the Department of Ecology, branches and experimental bases work together. This is undergraduate 6B05201-Applied Ecology and 7M05201 - Specialties of Applied Ecology "Republican Research Center for Atmospheric Air Protection," with which contract No. 16 of 25.02.2021 was concluded. Atyrau branch of LLP Baza No. 15, with which the contract was concluded, 23.02.2011, LLP "Economative," Department of Ecology in the Atyrau region. Contract No. 14 of 23.02.2011. Work based on the practice of branches in all institutions is carried out in accordance with the plans.
