The Department of Youth Policy is a structural unit of the university that organizes public, social, and cultural events and maintains close work with students. In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on State Youth Policy, the department implements youth policy and defines its significance. Public and educational activities at the university are carried out directly under the leadership of the department. It fosters in students the values of the nationwide idea “Mangilik El,” adherence to the cultural traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, as well as moral integrity, profound spiritual richness, and civic responsibility.
The department provides students with favorable conditions to develop themselves as individuals and, at the same time, to enhance their professional competencies in social activities as patriotic citizens of Kazakhstan.
It contributes to fostering students’ humanistic worldview, civic stance, sense of patriotism, legal and political culture, respect for personal freedom and conscience, as well as respect for state symbols and national customs and traditions.
The goal of the Department of Youth Policy is to support the civic, social, and personal development of young people and to create conditions for their growth in social and innovative fields. To achieve these objectives, the department pursues the following tasks:
- Engaging youth in social practices and providing them with information about opportunities for self-development;
- Supporting their scientific and creative endeavors;
- Promoting and assisting their entrepreneurial activities.
