“Digital Change Agent” Social-Educational Project Launched

Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University announces the launch of the “Digital Change Agent” social-educational project, aimed at improving digital literacy and developing key skills among students of rural schools.

The project will be implemented at rural schools from January 26 to May 9, 2026.

In today’s world, digital skills and access to global educational resources are essential for successful personal development. The “Digital Change Agent” project is designed to bridge the digital divide among rural school students and provide them with access to one of the world’s leading educational platforms -Coursera.

As part of the project, fourth-year students studying pedagogical specialties at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University will visit rural schools. Future teachers will introduce students to Coursera, conduct informational sessions, and serve as mentors, supporting learners in working with the platform.

The goals of the project are to:

• Introduce students to the basics of using the Coursera platform;

• Demonstrate the importance of self-directed learning;

• Teach effective use of the platform in the following areas:

• Accessing online courses from leading global universities;

• Early career guidance and familiarization with in-demand professions;

• Creating guided and individual learning paths.

Through this initiative, student mentors will help develop rural students’ independence, self-organization, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills. The project opens new educational opportunities for rural school students and lays the foundation for defining their future professional paths.
