The Potential of Artificial Intelligence in Education Discussed at Atyrau University

At Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University, a round table on the topic “Opportunities for Training Specialists in the Field of Artificial Intelligence” was held to widely explain the key tasks outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on September 8, 2025, reports the Regional Communications Service.

During the meeting, participants examined current trends in the development of artificial intelligence and ways of integrating it into the education system. Associate Professor of the Department of Informatics at the university, Maksot Rakhmetov, emphasized the importance of early introduction of AI technologies.

“In the future, artificial intelligence will play a special role in training specialists. Therefore, it is necessary to implement it into the educational system – from schools to universities. For 2025–2027, I won the ‘Young Scientist’ grant. As part of this program, I developed a new distance learning system using AI. It enables students to diagnose their own mistakes. This is an excellent feedback tool,” noted M. Rakhmetov.

Professors and teachers of Atyrau universities, scholars, and students took part in the round table.
